Police are investigating a murder that took place on Sunday.
At about 2:09 a.m., 2nd Police District officers responded to a radio call report of a person with a gun on the 6400 block of Rising Sun Ave., in front of a retail store.
When the officers arrived at that location, they found an unresponsive 37-year-old male shooting victim lying on the highway, suffering from gunshot wounds to the head and buttocks.
Police transported the victim to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 2:36 a.m. ••
