2nd Police District
There were 10 robberies. Robberies on the street involving handguns took place at 6600 Oakland St. (Dec. 7), 5600 Rising Sun Ave. (Dec. 18) and 5700 Summerdale Ave. (Dec. 20), a robbery with another weapon happened at 400 Carver St. (Dec. 8) and robberies with no weapons happened at 7300 Bustleton Ave. (Dec. 8) and Alcott St. (Dec. 9). Other robberies happened at a restaurant at 900 Levick St. (Dec. 8), a retail location at 5700 Oxford Ave. (Dec. 8), a private residence at 7200 Rutland St. (Dec. 16) and a mini market at 900 Tyson Ave. (Dec. 9).
There were 14 aggravated assaults, which resulted in three arrests. Assaults on the street included incidents with handguns at 2200 Disston St. (Dec. 10), 800 Cottman Ave. (Dec. 13) and twice at 6700 Whitaker Ave. (Dec. 16) and domestic assaults at 1400 Saint Vincent St. (Dec. 14, Michael Keeler, 47) and 1500 Cottman Ave. (Dec. 20, Robert McGuire III, 28). Domestic assaults at private residences happened at 300 Kerper St. (Dec. 10), 600 Allengrove St. (Dec. 16), 2100 Loney St. (Dec. 7), 7100 Oakland St. (Dec. 16, Adrian Torres, 20) and 900 Anchor St. (Dec. 16), and an assault with a handgun happened at 6900 Horrocks St. (Dec. 7). Assaults at apartment houses happened at 6000 Tabor Ave. (Dec. 18) with a handgun and at 7900 Castor Ave. (Dec. 10) with another weapon.Â
There were three burglaries, which took place at an auto dealer at 6800 Rising Sun Ave. (Dec. 8), a liquor store at 2100 Cottman Ave. (Dec. 14) and a public school at 7300 Algon Ave. (Dec. 15). A burglary attempt was made at a private residence at 7300 Bingham St. (Dec. 11).Â
There were 78 thefts, which targeted 34 businesses, 30 vehicles (including six stolen vehicle tags), 11 street thefts, two private residences and an apartment house. Five arrests were made.
7th Police District
There were no reported robberies.
There were two aggravated assaults. Sammy Hayari, 32, was arrested Dec. 15 following a domestic assault at a private residence at 9200 Grace Lane. The other assault took place at a hotel/motel at 11500 Roosevelt Blvd. with a handgun on Dec. 7.
There were four burglaries, which happened at an apartment house at 9100 Old Newtown Road (Dec. 9), a drug store at 10900 Bustleton Ave. (Dec. 20), a storage facility at 13400 Damar Drive (Dec. 7) and an office building at 9900 Bustleton Ave. (Dec. 7).
There were 45 thefts, which targeted 21 vehicles (including a stolen car phone and four stolen vehicle tags), 17 businesses, two private residences, two street thefts, an apartment building, a storage facility and a bicycle.
8th Police District
There were seven robberies, which took place on the street involving handguns at 8000 Frankford Ave. (Dec. 10), 9200 Frankford Ave. (Dec. 20) and twice at 2500 Winchester Ave. (Dec. 13). Other robberies took place at a jewelry store at 3200 Red Lion Road (Dec. 8), a private residence at 8800 Brocklehurst St. (Dec. 15) and an apartment house at 4400 Wingate St. (Dec. 17), all of which involved handguns.
There were 10 aggravated assaults, which resulted in three arrests. Assaults on the street happened at 8000 Montague St. (Dec. 16) and 9100 Torresdale Ave. (Dec. 17, Jonathan Levie, 30), both of which involved handguns, an assault with a knife at 9700 Roosevelt Blvd. (Dec. 13, Albi Fejzaj, 27), an assault with another weapon at 1400 Franklin Mills Circle (Dec. 14) and a domestic assault at 2600 Welsh Road (Dec. 11). Incidents at private residences included an assault with no weapon at 12100 Rainier Road (Dec. 14) and two domestic assaults at 4100 Stanwood St. (Dec. 12) and 2500 Winchester Ave. (Dec. 20). There were two domestic assaults at apartment houses at 9100 Academy Road (Dec. 16) and 8700 Cottage St. (Dec. 16).
There were two burglaries, which took place at a private residence at 9200 Melrose St. on Dec. 7 and an apartment house at 2800 Axe Factory Road on Dec. 17. Frank Misino, 40, was arrested Dec. 10 following a burglary attempt at a private residence at 3900 Dorchester Road.
There were 38 thefts, which targeted 18 vehicles, 16 businesses, three street thefts and a private residence. Three arrests were made.
15th Police District
There were 10 robberies. Brian Goslin, 33, was arrested Dec. 10 following a robbery at a drugstore at 5200 Torresdale Ave., and Robert Lawless, 22, was arrested Dec. 16 following the robbery of a vehicle at 4600 Roosevelt Blvd. Robberies on the street with handguns happened at 4100 Barnett St. (Dec. 7), 4000 Comly St. (Dec. 9), 7100 Rowland Ave. (Dec. 13) and 6000 Comly St. (Dec. 14), robberies with other weapons happened at 4400 Leiper St. (Dec. 8) and 4300 Paul St. (Dec. 20), and a robbery with no weapon happened at 1700 Bridge St. (Dec. 9). A chain retail location at 4500 Castor Ave. was robbed with a handgun on Dec. 8.
There were seven aggravated assaults. Timothy Hilsee, 36, was arrested Dec. 8 following an assault with a handgun on the street at 2100 Stevens St. The rest of the assaults also took place on the street, with incidents involving handguns happening at 5700 Torresdale Ave. (Dec. 13), 4700 Oakmont St. (Dec. 4) and 1300 Arrott St. (Dec. 17), an assault with a knife at 1400 Rosalie St. (Dec. 20) and assaults with other weapons at 6300 Robbins Ave. (Dec. 7) and 4600 Tackawanna St. (Dec. 7).
There were nine burglaries. Private residents that were burglarized were located at 6400 Edmund St. (Dec. 10), 5500 Harbison Ave. (Dec. 7), 5300 Saul St. (Dec. 8), 3200 Disston St. (Dec. 10) and 4700 Loring St. (Dec. 16). Other burglaries included apartment houses at 1900 Fillmore Place (Dec. 12) and 4600 Leiper St. (Dec. 16), a chain food store at 4500 Castor Ave. (Dec. 8) and a retail location at 6600 Frankford Ave. (Dec. 11).
There were 82 thefts, which targeted 41 vehicles (including a stolen car phone and 12 stolen vehicle tags), 21 street thefts, 11 businesses, five private residences, three apartment houses and a junk/second-hand dealer. Four arrests were made. In addition, 45 vehicles were reported stolen, and 36 were recovered. Five arrests were made.
