Ozzy is a large 4-year-old American bulldog mix. Ozzy is dog friendly and passed his cat-intro test. He’s a really low-key, laid-back kind of guy. He is house and crate trained. He would prefer a quiet house, as he is a little shy. Ozzy would do best in a home with children 12 years old and up. Ozzy walks well on the leash and stays right by your side. Venus is a male Chinese hamster who is around 6 months old. He loves to burrow and explore his cage, and enjoys running on his wheel. He would rather be left to his own devices in his enclosure instead of being handled, but is very tame and docile when he needs to be picked up. He’s shy but has had a rough life before coming to the rescue, so he needs time to adjust and someone who will work with him or allow him to be how he is. He’s very sweet and just needs some time to settle and become used to people. Hamsters are crepuscular/nocturnal, which means they are generally asleep during the day and active during the night, so Venus enjoys coming out once the lights are out. This means you might not see him too often unless you stay up to watch him, but he’s fun to watch as he darts around his enclosure foraging for food or working on his burrows. Venus would make an adorable new member of your family and would love to find a home of his own. More photos and video here: https://nar.rescuegroups.org/animals/detail?AnimalID=16595841.
