Police investigating Oxford Circle homicide

The Homicide Detectives Division is investigating a homicide that took place March 24 in Oxford Circle.

Police said the incident happened at about 5:45 p.m. in a home on the 1200 block of Elbridge St.

Officers in the 2nd Police District responded to reports of a person screaming. Upon arrival, they found a 21-year-old woman with stab wounds to her chest. She was transported by police to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 6:09 p.m.

The deceased was later identified as Taylor Desiree Dawson, of the 6700 block of N. 6th St. in Oak Lane.

A 38-year-old woman was stabbed in the back. She was transported by a fire department medic unit to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, where she was treated and released. ••
