The 15th Police District celebrated National Night Out last Tuesday in the parking lot of the ShopRite at 5597 Tulip St.
Among those in attendance were City Councilman Bobby Henon; Capt. John Walker, commander of the 15th Police District; Rachael Mahoney, community relations officer in the 15th district; Town Watch’s Greg Bucceroni; and McGruff the Crime Dog.
Henon and the offices of U.S. Rep. Brendan Boyle, state Sen. Tina Tartaglione and state Rep. Joe Hohenstein had information tables.
There was live music and dance performances, and 2nd Police District community relations officer Mark Mroz served as DJ. The Coast Guard brought a boat, and awards were given to police officers and community leaders.
Other vendors included the 15th Police District Advisory Council, the Community Life Improvement Program and The Block Gives Back.
