Police said a 5-year-old boy was killed Wednesday night after being struck by a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado on the 6900 block of Eastwood St. in Castor Gardens.
The accident took place at 6:04 p.m. The boy was taken by Medic 12 to St. Christopher Hospital for Children, where he was pronounced dead at 6:44.
The driver of the Silverado remained on the scene. ••
