American Heritage Credit Union has formed a partnership with Caring for Friends to help make a long-term impact in the lives of those in need. In April, American Heritage made a $10,000 donation to the organization to pack more than 1,000 snack bags for Caring for Friends clients throughout the region.

The snack-packaging event was the first of three events that American Heritage and its employees will participate in this year to provide food for individuals and families in need throughout the Philadelphia area.

Caring for Friends serves about 10,000 homebound seniors, veterans and people with disabilities as well as the homeless.

“The need for food donations continues to increase drastically in our region as inflation and overall food costs rise,” said Bruce K. Foulke, American Heritage president and CEO. “We can always count on American Heritage’s associates to step up and help those in need. Thanks to their hard work, over 1,000 individuals in our community will enjoy nutritious meals. We are excited for the partnership we have created with Caring for Friends and look forward to upcoming opportunities to make an impact in our community.”
