The Tacony LAB Community Arts Center, 6918 Torresdale Ave., celebrated its five-year anniversary last weekend.
The celebration included a sidewalk maker market and crafts on Friday night. About 15 vendors participated.
On Saturday afternoon, there were art activities, and guests feasted on hoagies, soft pretzels, chips and a cupcake cake.
LAB program manager Barb Baur was joined by Jane Golden, the longtime executive director of Mural Arts Philadelphia, which founded the LAB. Others in attendance included City Councilman Mike Driscoll, state Rep. Joe Hohenstein and legislative candidate Pat Gallagher. There was also a flower arrangement by Stein Your Florist.
