City Councilman Mike Driscoll and his staff, along with state Rep.-elect Pat Gallagher, distributed Thanksgiving meals to families and churches on Saturday afternoon outside Driscoll’s new office at 7552 Frankford Ave.

The 100 bags included turkey breasts, carrots, potatoes, celery, yams, string beans, gravy, mac and cheese and pumpkin pie.

Driscoll thanked the Dining Car, Grocery Outlet and the Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s Nutritional Development Services for their donations.

The Northeast Philadelphia Development Corporation was having a similar event nearby and contributed some boxes of bread, cranberry sauce and pre-packaged meals. ••
