DeSales University students are in the cast and on the crew in the school’s Act 1 production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame, which runs until May 7. The following local students are a part of the production: Dillon Parish is Quasimodo and Kevin Regan is Saint Aphrodisius, part of the Congregation cast and the Male Swing. ••
Kamiah Jean is one of 45 Albright College students who presented scholarly work at the 24th annual Berks County Undergraduate Research and Creativity Conference. A graduate of Dobbins CTE High School, Jean is majoring in fashion: design and presented artwork titled, “A Walk on the Boulevard.” ••
Kutztown University wrestler Matthew Weinberg, an Archbishop Ryan graduate, was named a 2023 National Wrestling Coaches Association DII Scholar All-American. Weinberg represented KU at the NCAA Division II Championship, earning All-American status and placing fourth at 184 pounds. ••
Sally Wojcik was honored during an Alumni Weekend awards ceremony at Albright College, receiving the college’s Distinguished Alumni Award, which recognizes outstanding service and accomplishment in at least one of the following areas: community, state, nation, church, profession, academic and/or service organizations. Wojcik studied theater, English and secondary education at Albright, graduating summa cum laude and with Departmental Distinction in 2004. Directly after graduation, Wojcik accepted a position at Arden Theatre Company in the Arden Professional Apprentice Program. In 2009, she developed the curriculum for and took leadership of the theater department at the Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush, a special admissions high school at 11081 Knights Road. ••
Kyle Zayas, a graduate of Swenson Arts & Technology High School, played Georg Zirschnitz/Dieter for the Albright College Theatre production of Spring Awakening. Zayas is a member of the Domino PLayers and is studying music industry studies and theater. ••
