Samantha Leaness graduated from the University of Vermont with a bachelor’s in biology. University President Suresh Garimella conferred degrees on almost 3,400 graduates at the university’s 222nd commencement ceremony. ••
Some 227 Kutztown University students were named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Scholar-Athletes. To be eligible, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25. Local Kutztown student-athletes are Casey Remolde, a St. Basil graduate who played basketball; Shannon Remolde, a St. Basil graduate who is a guard on the basketball team; and Anastasia Fratanduono, an Archbishop Ryan graduate who is on the cross country and track teams. ••
Ryan DiVergilis, a Media & Communication Studies major, made the spring 2023 dean’s list at Ursinus College. DiVergilis, a Somerton resident and Archbishop Wood graduate, is in the class of 2024. He is a defensive back on the football team. ••
More than 2,400 undergraduate students at Coastal Carolina University were named to the dean’s list for the spring 2023 semester, including Payton Cahill. Students who make the dean’s list have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher (3.25 for freshmen) for the semester. ••
