Kutztown University has 33 players on its women’s soccer team, including two from the Northeast: Fox Chase’s Chelsea Ritter and Bustleton’s Carly Walsh, both 2023 graduates of Archbishop Ryan. Ritter and Walsh are both midfielders/defenders. The Golden Bears are ranked No. 19 in the United Soccer Coaches Association Division II national poll. They went 1-0-1 in the Gannon Invitational, tying Charleston (West Virginia) and beating Concord (West Virginia). KU opens Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference play on Sept. 6 vs. Millersville. ••

Justin Boline is among 300 Middle Tennessee State University undergraduate students included on the dean’s list for their academic achievements for the summer 2023 semester. Boline is majoring in Aerospace. To qualify for the dean’s list, an undergraduate student must maintain a current semester grade-point average of at least 3.5 and have earned at least 12 semester hours. ••
