Suspect in 7–11 robbery is arrested

A Pennypack Woods man has been arrested for last month’s armed robbery of a local 7-Eleven store.

Police say that Brien Boedeker, 33, of the 8600 block of Deer Lane, entered the 7-Eleven at 9901 Frankford Ave. at 6:20 a.m. on Nov. 1, asked a clerk for a pack of cigarettes, then pulled a handgun and demanded money. The employee opened and removed the cash drawer from the register and placed it on the sales counter. Boedeker allegedly grabbed $280 and fled.

On Nov. 14, police received information that a man fitting the description of the robber was driving a Jeep on Frankford Avenue. Using this information, investigators identified Boedeker as the robber and arrested him on Nov. 15.

He was charged with robbery, weapons violations, assault and related offenses. He remains in jail in lieu of $250,000 bail and is scheduled for a Dec. 6 preliminary hearing. ••
