A 24-year-old woman suffered critical injuries in a single-vehicle crash in Rhawnhurst on Sunday night.
The motorist was driving a 2002 Jeep Patriot southbound on Bustleton Avenue near Strahle Street at about 11:30 p.m. when the vehicle mounted the median and struck a tree, said Officer Christine O’Brien, a Philadelphia police spokeswoman.
The driver was taken to Aria Health-Torresdale in critical condition. The police department has not released her name.
There were no passengers in the vehicle. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. ••
