Two injured in pair of Northeast shootings

Separate shootings in Frankford and Northwood left a man and a woman injured, police said.

Two people were injured in separate shootings Friday and Sunday in the Northeast.

A 20-year-old woman was found with a gunshot wound to the right leg at around 2 p.m. Friday on the 4300 block of Orchard Street in Frankford, police said. Officers rushed her to Temple University Hospital, where she was listed in critical condition.

On Sunday, at 5:49 a.m., a 41-year-old man was shot once in the back and once in the calf after gunfire erupted on the 4500 block of Castor Avenue in Northwood, authorities said. Police also took him to Temple, where he is in stable condition.

No arrests were reported in either case, and there was no word on a possible motive in either shooting. ••
