Police said Jones was driving a 2010 Acura south in the outer lanes of the Boulevard when it struck a 1998 Nissan and a pedestrian and another vehicle.

The pedestrian was standing by his disabled Nissan. He was transported by a fire department medic unit to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The victim was later identified as Leonid Kadomsky, a 37-year-old from the 1500 block of Gregg St. An occupant of the Nissan complained of head pain but declined medical attention. The Nissan was pulled over against the curb.

Police said Jones and a female passenger fled the scene westbound on Faunce Street. The passenger later turned herself in.

The Accident Investigation Division identified Jones as a suspect, and he turned himself in.

Jones is charged with third-degree murder, involuntary manslaughter, homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license, driving an unregistered vehicle and other offenses.

The defendant is being held on 10 percent of $2 million bail. ••
