Motorist sought in fatal hit-and-run

Police are searching for a silver or white minivan with heavy front-end damage that was involved in a hit-and-run crash at Roosevelt Boulevard and Adams Avenue late Monday, claiming the life of a 17-year-old Feltonville girl.

The crash occurred at about 11:37 p.m. Monday as Markalyah Jackson, of the 4900 block of N. Boudinot St., was walking northbound across Adams just east of the Boulevard, police said. The van was traveling southbound in the outer lanes of the Boulevard and turned right onto Adams, striking the victim. Police said that both the vehicle and pedestrian had green lights.
