Swenson educator wins ‘Teacher as Hero’ award

State Farm recently visited Swenson Arts and Technology High School to present Raymond Bunsick with $500 for being named a “Teacher as Hero.”

Bunsick had earlier been honored during a ceremony at the National Liberty Museum. In all, 10 Philadelphia-area educators were recognized during the 10th annual ceremony.

The event at the National Liberty Museum was emceed by NBC10’s Monique Braxton.

“At the National Liberty Museum, we have a key focus on building strong character and civic engagement in our youth, so it’s always an honor for us to recognize the outstanding teachers among us who inspire and engage our future leaders,” said Gwen Borowsky, CEO of the museum. ••
