A Frankford man had a high-tech garden growing inside his home, but he wasn’t going to win any horticultural awards for it, Philadelphia authorities say. Instead, the healthy crop landed him in jail. On Saturday, police raided Daniel Falu’s home on the 5200 block of Large St. and allegedly found dozens of marijuana plants growing inside. The narcotics investigators also seized about 600 grams of cocaine from the house, according to the District Attorney’s Office. Authorities didn’t say what prompted the investigation.
Falu was charged with drug possession, drug distribution, conspiracy and possessing an instrument of crime. He remains in jail in lieu of $1 million bail and is scheduled for an Oct. 7 court hearing, the DA’s office said. ••
