Philadelphia isn’t always the City of Brotherly Love. Last Saturday, an Oxford Circle man shot and killed his older brother during a quarrel at the home they shared.
Police went to a house on the 1000 block of Levick St. at 6:35 a.m. and found Allen Young, 56, unresponsive inside the front door with a single gunshot wound of the head. Paramedics at the scene pronounced him dead nine minutes later, police said.
Young lived at the house with his brother, 55-year-old Robert Young. Police arrested Robert at 7:50 that morning on the 7300 block of Lawndale Ave. Authorities did not disclose what led them to implicate Robert Young in the slaying. He was charged with murder and related offenses. ••
