A man approached the back patio of a Castor Garden’s home and unsuccessfully tried to swipe a TV that was mounted on an exterior wall.
A would-be TV burglar found himself in front of a camera last month when a Castor Gardens resident’s surveillance equipment recorded the suspect. Now police are trying to identify him.
On April 28 at about 6:40 a.m., the man approached the back patio of a home on the 1100 block of Fanshawe Street and unsuccessfully tried to swipe a TV that was mounted on an exterior wall, police said. The suspect also examined the contents of a box that was sitting on a table, but took nothing. He fled in an unknown direction when a woman emerged from the back door.
Police describe the suspect as black and thin with a light complexion, long black hair in a ponytail, scruffy beard and mustache. He wore a red baseball cap, gray t-shirt with black writing across the chest and Nike sneakers with a light blue and black pattern.
