A 50-year-old man turned himself in Friday after police released surveillance video of a robbery earlier in the week at a 7-Eleven in Burholme, Lt. Dennis Rosenbaum of Northeast Detectives said.

Christopher Hatzigeorgiou was charged with robbery, theft and related crimes in connection with the robbery, which occurred March 12 at the store at 1435 Cottman Ave. (near Pennway Steet).

Police said he entered the 7-Eleven around 2 a.m. and asked for an electronic cigarette. After receiving the cigarette, he put his hand in his jacket pocket acting like he had a weapon and said: “Give me all the money.”

He grabbed about $250 in cash from the register drawer and left the store, authorities said.

Hatzigeorgiou has served previously served prison time after pleading guilty to robberies in Philadelphia and Montgomery County, according to court records. ••
