A 24-year-old man is facing a murder charge after authorities allege he gunned down a man and injured another in broad daylight Tuesday, June 11, in Frankford.

Maalik Jackson-Wallace, of the 4700 block of Valley Place in East Frankford, was arrested Wednesday, June 12, and charged with homicide, reckless endangerment and various weapons violations in connection with the shooting, police said.

Officers responded to the 5300 block of Horrocks Street at 10:39 a.m. and discovered a man who had been shot multiple times in the torso, back and legs. Police transported him to Temple University Hospital, where he died around 11 a.m.

Authorities identified the victim as Marcellus Little, 26, who lived on the 1100 block of Brill Street, around the corner from where the shooting occurred.

A second man was also shot in the leg, police said. The 24-year-old was dropped off at Nazareth Hospital by private vehicle and is in stable condition, according to authorities.

A judge denied bail for Jackson-Wallace, and he is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing July 3. ••
