A 42-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly tried to grab a 10-year-old girl who was walking with her mother Monday night near Jardel Recreation Center.

Officers were called to the 1400 of Cottman Avenue around 6:30 p.m. They found the suspect three blocks away, and he was identified by the girl and her mother, police said. Authorities said the girl was not injured.

No charges had been filed as of Tuesday morning. Police continue to investigate the incident. ••
