Two people are dead after a suspected murder-suicide New Year’s Eve inside a house on the 5600 block of Frontenac Street in Summerdale.
Officers responded to the residence just after 10:15 p.m. and found a man and a woman lying in a second-floor bathroom, police said. Both had gunshot wounds, authorities said.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and the man was rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he died at 11:44 p.m., authorities said. Officers recovered a gun at the scene.
A police source said investigators believe the man shot the woman before turning the gun on himself.
Authorities did not release further information. Homicide detectives continue to investigate the shooting. ••
