Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5 last week distributed over 10,000 masks to police districts across the city.
“Sourcing these materials has been very, very difficult,” said FOP 5 President John McNesby. “When they arrive at our lodge, we quickly turn them around and prioritize distribution by urgent need throughout the city.”
FOP leaders, members and volunteers gathered at the headquarters at 11630 Caroline Road to distribute the masks on April 8.
“There’s no playbook on how to battle this deadly pandemic, but our team is stepping up to supplement city efforts to distribute these critical supplies to keep our officers and first responders safe,” McNesby said.
