A woman was killed Monday night in Lawncrest.
Police said the incident happened at about 10:58 p.m.
Police responded to the 5800 block of Rising Sun Avenue for a 911 emergency call for a person with a gun.
On the scene, police found a 24-year-old female suffering multiple gunshot wounds to the head. She was pronounced dead on the scene by a fire department medic unit at 11:08 p.m.
The victim was identified as Ebony Kitchen of the 300 block of Van Kirk St.
No arrest was made, and no weapon recovered. The investigation is ongoing with the homicide division. ••
