St. Katherine of Siena Parish held its Oktoberfest on Oct. 5. The event featured food trucks, a biergarten, music, a petting zoo, pony rides and craft vendors.

Next, the parish will host a Trunk or Treat on Sunday, Oct. 26, from 2-4 p.m., in the church parking lot. Kids are encouraged to wear costumes. There will be crafts, games and music. The cost is $8 for kids. Adults are admitted free. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. ••

Pat Dugan, candidate for district attorney, attended the St. Katherine of Siena Oktoberfest and met up with the Rev. Joe Zaleski, the pastor. Dugan and Zaleski worked together in City Council more than 20 years ago.
