Mike Perzel, author of Livin’ It, recently had a book sale and signing at Jimmy’s Timeout Sports Pub, 5001 Linden Ave. Perzel is a 1970 graduate of St. Matthew Grammar School, and the class held a 55-year reunion during the event. The book is billed as the “true story of a bad kid from Philly who defies the odds” and chronicles Perzel’s life in Mayfair from age 11-19. The author later became a successful insurance broker, with an office on Frankford Avenue.
