The councilman said he is working on the problem of illegal dumping on Snake Road (the 5600 block of Newtown Ave.).

By 2026, Phillips said, there will be speed bumps outside every school in the city.

Phillips said a new date will be scheduled for a groundbreaking ceremony for improvements to Lawncrest Recreation Center. The ceremony was supposed to be Sept. 9, but that was Mayor Cherelle Parker’s birthday.
