Temple Women and Families Hospital recently recognized state Sen. Tina Tartaglione and state Rep. Jason Dawkins for securing $890,355 in funding that will support upgrades to the hospital’s generator and power supply system.
The April 10 event also recognized Temple’s collaboration with the Maternity Care Coalition on a new Community Care Kiosk located at Temple Women and Families, 1331 E. Wyoming Ave.
The kiosk provides free infant care items, period products and sexual health items.
Among those at the event were Abhi Rastogi, president and CEO of Temple Health; Sharon Kurfuerst, executive director of Temple Women and Families Campus; and Marianne A. Fray, president and CEO of Maternity Care Coalition.
Tartaglione serves on the Temple University Board of Trustees. Dawkins was born at the Wyoming Avenue site when it was Parkview Hospital. The current hospital replaced Cancer Treatment Centers of America. ••
