Police investigating Wissinoming robbery

A man stole several packs of cigarettes and assaulted an employee last week at a 7-Eleven on Harbison Avenue, police said.

Authorities are looking for a man who assaulted an employee during a robbery Wednesday, Feb. 19, at the 7-Eleven at 5231 Harbison Ave. in Wissinoming.

The suspect entered the store around 9:20 p.m. and went behind the counter to grab cigarettes, according to police. An employee tried to stop him, but he can be seen on surveillance video pushing the employee out of the way.

Police said the man fled in an unknown direction with three to four packs of cigarettes.
