A.P. Construction Inc., of Blackwood, New Jersey, is the general contractor on the $2.44 million project, which is financed with federal and local funds.

City Department of Streets Commissioner Carlton Williams announced temporary street closures and parking restrictions to accommodate overnight street resurfacing in two Northeast areas.

The areas affected are Morrell Avenue, from Academy Road to Frankford Avenue, and Krewstown Road, from Rising Sun Avenue to Grant Avenue.

The resurfacing work for these streets is expected to be completed by early August.

The resurfacing will be completed in three separate phases: street milling, the adjustment of manhole covers and resetting of utility boxes, and final paving.

Operations for the milling work, removal of old asphalt, and the final paving will be performed from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Work for adjusting manhole covers and resetting utility boxes will be from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Temporary “No Parking” signs will be posted in advance of each scheduled activity.

This work is being completed by James J. Anderson Construction Co, Inc. and is being financed with federal and city funding. ••
