Pedestrian killed in hit and run at Summerdale and St. Vincent

The police Accident Investigation Division is investigating a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian at Summerdale Avenue and St. Vincent Street.

On Tuesday, at about 5:57 a.m., police and a fire department medic unit responded to the scene following a call about an accident with injuries to a pedestrian and the driver leaving the scene.

A 60-year-old woman was hit by an unknown vehicle that fled the scene. The victim was transported by medic unit to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital for fractures to her ribs and head injuries. She died on Wednesday at 2:35 a.m.

The victim was later identified as Saixiang Lin.

The investigation is ongoing. There is no information on the fleeing vehicle. ••
