One dead, one injured after auto crash

A 75-year-old Lehigh County man died after his car drifted into oncoming traffic and collided with another vehicle on Academy Road on July 26.

Morris Hoffman of Macungie was driving northbound on the 9100 block of Academy at about 2:40 p.m. when his 2010 Hyundai Elantra crossed a double yellow center line and struck a 2006 Kia Sorento head-on, police said. When emergency responders arrived, Hoffman was unresponsive. Paramedics took him to Aria-Jefferson Health at Torresdale, where he died a short time later.
