One dead after Saturday afternoon shooting in Frankford

Christian Crews, 25, was shot on the 1700 block of Harrison Street and later died at the hospital, police said.

A 25-year-old man died Saturday after being shot in broad daylight on the 1700 block of Harrison Street in Frankford, authorities said.

Officers responded to the block around 4:30 p.m. and found Christian Crews with a gunshot wound to the chest, police said. He was taken to Temple University Hospital and died at 5:11 p.m., according to authorities.

Crews lived on the block where the shooting occurred, police said.

Authorities did not recover a weapon on the scene, and no arrests had been made as of Tuesday. Homicide detectives are actively investigating the fatal shooting, police said. ••
