Pizza delivery man robbed in Tacony

A driver from Pizza City was held up Monday night by two men, one of whom had a gun, police said.

A pizza delivery man was held up by a pair of men Monday night after being called to drop off food in Tacony, police said.

The driver, from Pizza City in Mayfair, was approached by the men after arriving on the 6800 block of Erdrick Street, authorities said. One of the suspects had a black handgun, and the men took the delivery man’s cell phone, $100 and the food.

Authorities described the suspects as two black males in their 20s. Both were wearing black clothing, police said.

There have been a string of robberies recently in the Northeast targeting pizza delivery men. Earlier this month, a pair of drivers were held up in separate incidents in Castor Gardens. ••
