



The Northeast Philadelphia History Fair took place on April 11 at Cannstatter’s, with filmmaker Sam Katz showing an exclusive sneak peek of Episode 3 of In Pursuit: Philadelphia and the Making of America.
The episode is titled Independence (1763-1790), and Katz answered questions afterward. The episode is also tentatively scheduled to be shown on June 5 at Pennepack Baptist Church.

The history fair also featured a keynote address by Jack McCarthy on Northeast Philadelphia & the Declaration of Independence. McCarthy is also project director of the Poquessing Trail of History, which will continue programming throughout the year. Go to poquessingtrailofhistory.org
The fair, presented by Friends of Northeast Philadelphia History, also included more than three dozen exhibits from local history groups; activities by Holmesburg Amateur Radio Club, Tacony LAB and Bob the Blacksmith; and a collection of books, maps, prints, souvenirs and rare photographs. ••
