Police are investigating a Monday night murder on the 5000 block of Penn St. in Frankford.
At about 8:02 p.m., police responded to a report of a male shot. They encountered the victim suffering from several bullet wounds to his torso.
The officers immediately transported the victim to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased at 8:22 p.m. The victim was later identified as 30-year-old Allen Jackson, from the 2800 block of Rhawn St.
At this time, there is no motive or arrest. The investigation is ongoing with the Homicide Unit. ••
